YOGA THRIVE – Yoga for Cancer Survivors

 

If you, or anyone you know, has had an experience with cancer and would like to start moving again and getting back on track, this yoga programme may be for you. Developed with researchers at the University of Calgary, it was found to improve participants’ mood and quality of life and to lessen their fatigue, cancer-related symptoms and stress. A gentle program, it is based on hatha yoga but has been modified for cancer survivors - especially those who are experiencing stiffness, pain, stress or fatigue. Class sizes are small to ensure individual attention and safety. Each class is held once per week over a 6-week period.
